I have always wanted to draw faces and I find it fascinating that you start with and oval and come up with a face ,  a make believe person....those two have big lips and big eyes LOL and  I gave them names Jacky and Sandy.  I have to thank Tamara Laporte of   willowing.ning.com      for her FABULOUS FACES DVD.

FOR THE LOVE OF FABRICS

Oh my.....Fabrics I have always loved Fabrics. Back in the eighties , I had so much of it, I could have opened my own store. I could not resist buying more of it....The colors and prints just talked to me.
I must say I used to sew all my clothes because I was a size 1/2 and back then and there was not many choices in those sizes. I even sewed my jeans, lol. I was in Fabric Heaven.

Now I can find my size in all the stores and I do not sew my clothes anymore. I gave all the fabrics I had left when we decided to moved back to Canada , I did not want to have to pack all that. Well we did not like where we were and decided to come back to Florida and guess what.........I went to Jo Ann Fabrics to buy some paints and I saw these little colorful squares ( they were taking to me ) and of course I had to buy them.

What am I going to do with them ? I plan on using them in my journals lol ............very funny right, but when I look at them I feel good. It has nothing to do with the fabrics , it is the colors and prints , it is like a painting to me and I love to look at it.
Oh and I had to buy a sewing machine because my machines ( 4 of them ) stayed at our house in Canada where we plan to spend  a couple of months a year ? Maybe

I must stay away from Jo Ann Fabrics

THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL !

I believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Wednesday I deleted my blog list by mistake and I had no idea how to get it back other than start over. I was so upset,  lol I could not see straight.

My husband told me to calm down and go into the recycle bin and check in there.......well to my surprise they were all there and I restored all of them. Nothing was showing on my blog or in the "Blog I'm following " box.  Now the problem was how do I get them back on my blog , would I have to visit and click follow again ??? 

My question was answered today .....I clicked on blog I 'm following and it was empty , then I click on add just because I wanted to try one more thing and then clicked on following by name....and Pouf !!!! all the blogs I have been following were back ????  I am so thankful today = ))))

WHAT A DAY !

I do not know how I did this,  but I managed to delete all the blogs I have been following for some time now. I am so sad I could cry . I do not know how I am going to remember all of their names....I had them in my favorites for a long time and today I decided to put them in my blog......the rest is history........I am so sad.......I think I am going to cry = (((

I am so happy...yayyyyyy.  The  zines number 2 is here at  http://artjournaling.ning.com/   .  
It is full of great tips and ideas,  colorful pages by great artists. It  has 55 pages  of great  stuff.......it is only $5.00 to download and I think it is well worth the cost if you love journaling.
Number 1 is still available and it was full of great stuff also. I love it = )

Ning sites and how they helped me !

I belong to a few ning sites and I love every one of them. I may not be visiting as often as I would like but I have become attached to them. Today I was visiting    Mix Media Workshop and was reading what I wrote in my profile information when I join at the beginning of the year . The question was :

• What would I like to accomplish in 2010 ?

My answer was : Learn new techniques and learn to draw beautiful faces.

We are now close to the end of the year and I started to look thru my drawing of faces and I have to say, I believe I improved ..I bought the DVD Fabulous Faces from Tamara Laporte of Willowing.ning
 and started to practice. I am not as good as she is of course, but I can see a difference.

I can sincerely say that the ning sites I have joined  have helped me more than I can say , the funny thing about it is that I was so scared to join. I watched videos of Tam of "Willowing" ," Milliande" and Deborah of " Mix Media Workshop" for the longest time before I decided to join. That was the best thing I have ever done.
