9 Night of the Goddess

                                                  9 Night of the Goddess!

From October 1st to October 9th is Navaratri . It is a time when the Goddess energy is
available for us in abundance. So I have been thinking about it and decided to start a
painting for each of the Goddesses. It is not a painting of what she look like but, of what I
feel the energy might look like, each Goddess has a color and some of them have the
same color so I will try to work with that!

I am sitting here not quite knowing what to write. I have been absent for so long , doing other things and I do not know where to start. I do miss blogging and I am trying to get back into it. I have been resisting because so much time has passed and I feel like I am starting all over again.

I am wondering if anybody else is going thru something like this. Trying to keep up with Facebook Google account, my Art Expression page,  Twitter, Pinterest , taking the right picture to post in my website...etc...etc...I feel disconnected at times and prefer to just paint and not think about any of it. I feel overwhelmed, by all that I have to do to stay on top of everything.

I started in 2010 and was feeling confident in myself until I had a stroke and my world turned upside down. I am still struggling to come back...lol. My grand daughter was here yesterday and I was showing her some of my art journals , some of them , I had not looked at for years. So here I am again,  hoping this time I will be more consistent in posting !

Blog problems !

Wow... I have not been able to connect or write into my blog since early March. It would always freeze on me. I am not sure what was the problem. A lot has happened since then. I will try and post my new paintings later. I am very happy that it is working now. I wonder if anybody else had the same problem ?

It has been a while...

I have been very busy with family members vacationing in Florida and I have enjoyed their company a great deal but my blog , painting , housework and business is suffering a bit because of it..oh la la

I have a lot journal pages and painting started but not finished. I am not sure why I find myself more busy now then when my children were growing up. I used to cook, clean the house , take care of the kids, sow , craft, volunteer at the school, go to all practice/games of baseball and hockey and take care of the books for the company . For some reason I THOUGHT that when my children would be adult,  I would have all this free time to myself to paint and journal.

Hummmmm!!!!!

I am more busy now than ever and I babysit my grand daughter 3 and sometimes 4 days a week.

The last time I wrote in this blog was in early February...

I have to laugh at myself , I am sure I am not alone but sometimes I put a lot of pressure on myself to try and be a super woman. I belong to all these groups in Facebook  ,  ning sites and I have all these on line workshops that I am doing and I am trying to keep up with , I teach clogging 4 nights a week and I have to learn new dances in between....but overhaul I am very happy every time I have a minute to paint or draw, every minutes count and at the end of the week/month I am sometime very surprise at what I have accomplish in a very short time.

I always loved abstract painting, I used to paint them all the time

and lately I have been thinking how much I missed it.

There is a certain freedom in painting them

but for me also fear....

I find I work better when I do not try to think too much

I have to let go and it is not always easy....

Glass Tiles pendants

I love Pinterest, there are so many tutorials and beautiful inspiration there.

I found a tutorial

 for Glass Tiles pendants.

I had a hard time finding the glass tiles but I did not order

on line because I did not want to wait.

I made a few and gave them as

.Christmas gifts.

The Mandala class is over at Willowing but I have learn a lot with Guadalupe and I am thankful for her generosity. It is truly relaxing , almost meditative to do a Mandala.

Mandala Class at Willowing

There is a free Mandala class going on at Willowing.ning and Guadalupe Brizuela Cabal is the teacher. It is a three weeks course and this Mandala is my first colored one ( week one) . I am so thankful to this woman. I have always been fascinated by Mandalas but did not know how to even start one. It looks so complicated. She explained everything so well , I am thinking of taking her paid workshop.
